My Pros:

  • The story that's present in the game has a decent amount of depth to it and did a good job of keeping me invested throughout my playthrough.
  • I really enjoyed the presentation side of the game because both the visuals and sound design are simple yet very effective at the same time.
  • It felt important each time I got into the combat side of things because there are plenty of options present here and this meant defeating the enemies felt rewarding for the most part.
  • Grinding always felt worthwhile because there's always something new for you to upgrade and these upgrades definitely helped me along the way.

My Cons:

  • Whilst it has a little bit of a challenge every now and then I never felt truly in trouble which did make things become a little repetitive.
  • Strategy doesn't really play a big part and I must admit that I expected quite a bit more in terms of the strategy side of things.
  • If you're not a fan of these types of games then there isn't really anything new or different in this game that will change your mind.

My final evaluation on Antiquia Lost:

All in all there seems to be a new game coming from Kemco every couple of weeks now and I hope this continues because as I've said many times before I really enjoy what this publisher brings to the table. Their new release then is called Antiquia Lost and whilst it isn't the best game I've experienced from Kemco it's still a very enjoyable game filled with lots of fun moments. This game also features a story that has quite a lot of depth within it as well and I must admit that I didn't get bored of it at any point during my playthrough. I also didn't get bored of grinding in the game either because grinding always felt worthwhile thanks to the upgrades I got which might I add improved me a great deal. In fact they improved me that much that it made the game very easy to complete and sometimes I did wish it was a little more challenging at times. I also wish that the strategy elements were more profound as well because it didn't really matter how I approached things everything would still pretty much play out the same way. Thankfully this didn't impact on the combat elements much though because there's a surprising amount of depth present here and enough varied enemies to make defeating them rewarding for the most part. At the end of the day then whilst Antiquia Lost doesn't really offer anything new or different I still think that this game will be a worthy purchase to those who've enjoyed Kemco's previous games. Yes it isn't perfect and it does have a few drawbacks here and there but in the end it gets more right than it gets wrong and for that reason it gets a recommendation from me.

My score for Antiquia Lost is 7/10.
